The control panel is the center of your home security system, where all of the action takes place.
The reception hub where all the security detection devices—such as fire detector, door sensor, motion sensor— send their signals, the control panel is on call 24/7, ready to sound immediate alarm and instantaneously alert the homeowner whether directly or through a monitoring service professional on call.

IDEA
Home security systems often look dated, which is probably the reason why people prefer to have them covertly hidden.
Ambra sells home security systems worth thousands of pounds and the only thing user interacts with is control panel. That's why Ambra decided to put their emphasis on panels quality, aesthetics, ease of of use and value.
We engaged the design deliberation digging into a variety of ideas around portability and charisma. Aiming at a luxury design vibe, we've created a product that can be cherished. Also varying the application of user interface, focusing on the integration of the detachable components and development of suitable user interface.
Such an approach required an excellent design, which is why the case and the UI of the device were created at the ZDS.
Ambra uses combination of state-of-the art security technologies. Its advanced encryption techniques and built in fingerprint scanner mean your smart security system is virtually impossible to hack.
AESTHETICS
Ambra's black fascia is made of smooth, but sturdy plastic and the sides of anodised aluminium that brings that unique and premium look. The bezel around fingerprint read are made of plastic that mimics the same properties and appearance as it was made of aluminium, but much more cost efficient.
The main enclosure are kept in place by magnet holders attached to dock station.
Thanks to the magnet holders, Ambra panel can be easily moved and used as portable device.
USER INTERFACE
In addition to industrial design, we improved display graphics: all pictograms are clear and easy to understand. We intended to design Ambra's interface not only to satisfy users’ aesthetic requirements but provide them with the high level of usability. Ambra's interface presenting information in logical order and carries on user’s expectations derived from real-world experience.
Despite being compact, the Ambra security panel is equipped with a large and bright screen that is easy to read.
